Science IDEAS: Web Based Planning Tool

The Web-Based Planning Tool was developed to provide administratively efficient management support for school districts and/or schools whose goal is to initiate and then sustain and expand the Science IDEAS model.

The Planning Tool provides school administrators with the capability to assign staff responsibilities within a management hierarchy and then to monitor the status (started, in progress, completed) of all major categories necessary for (a) implementing the Science IDEAS model and (b) developing the internal capacity to subsequently sustain and expand the model.

In principle, the Planning Tool emulates key elements of a project management tool, but in such a way as to minimize implementation overhead and to focus on the support of the management processes typically followed by school administrators (e.g., assignment and monitoring of activities assigned to staff).
