STS-118 mission offers learning opportunities for your students all year
long!
- Take the Lunar Plant Growth Challenge: Register now for MICROGRAVIT BASIL
SEEDS, they are available to the first 100,000. Teacher's can choose their
students' participation in the project. After students complete the
challenge, teachers will be eligible to receive certificates of
participation!

- Fit Explorer Challenge: Find out what physical and nutritional
requirements are needed for living and working in space. The project
includes Standards-based classroom science activities related to the STS-118
mission and future extended exploration missions.

- Humans in Space with STS-118 Program: Discover how to engage
students and teach life, Earth physical and space science in the context of
the mission. Take the one hour session from home using the internet and a

- Sally Ride ScienceTM: Follow Morgan's activities through Sally Ride

-themed entries to help elementary and middle school teachers illustrate

FUN HOMEWORK? - Sandia National Laboratories has assembled a one-page
collection of science activities appreciate for elementary age children to

research are more likely to purse advanced degrees and careers in science,
technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields, according to a study
published in Science (April 27).
